Criminal Mischief/Vandalism The act of changing, modifying, or defacing public or private property Graffiti, knocking over mail box, throwing rock through window, etc.
Harassing Phone Calls Unwanted phone calls of an annoying, harassing, or threatening nature. Repeated hang-ups. Immediate hang-ups, obscene language, etc. with no known suspect(s).
Petit Theft (Non Vehicle) Less than $750 value Property is taken without you permission. Property, total value less than $750, Know to be stolen and missing may be reported.
Assault (misdemeanor) An “assault” is an intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well-founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent. Someone verbally threatens to do harm to your person while having the capability to carry out the threat. This DOES NOT include by phone, social media or email OR while in possession of a weapon.
Battery (misdemeanor) The offense of battery occurs when a person: 1. Actually and intentionally touches or strikes another person against the will of the other; or 2. Intentionally causes bodily harm to another person. Someone pushes or strikes you against your will. This DOES NOT include if a deadly weapon was used, great bodily harm was caused OR a battery committed in a domestic violence incident. If any of those incidents occur, IMMEDIATELY call 911.
